Set in Bora Bora and with Mount Otemanu reachable within 13 km, ALAROOTS BORA BORA CAMP offers a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a private beach area. The accommodation provides evening entertainment and a shared kitchen.

At the hostel all rooms come with a shared bathroom and bed linen.

The hostel is located at the most amazing and peaceful location with a gorgeous view over the main island. If you’re looking for a relaxing and chilled stay to escape the hustle and bustle of life and enjoy the basic needs and reflect on what is necessary in life or not, that’s the place for you. Tapu is the most kind and funny host you can ask for. He does everything to make you feel at home the moment you jump on his boat. I loved waking up every morning, watching the sun rise over the mountains of Bora and drinking my coffee listening to the sound of the waves and nothing else. I enjoyed spending my time with the people at the hostel, the vibe was very chilled and relaxed and we had a lovely group of people staying who I became friends with. Tapu spent a lot of time with us talking, laughing, joking around and teaching us about the Polynesia culture with cultural activities (I still think my headband out of coconut leaves was the best 😋). He even took me and another guest on a little boat adventure on my last day. You have a shuttle going to the main island everyday, you can go hiking, snorkeling, and explore during the day and come back to your peaceful motu in the evening, such a great combo! You’re sharing the same beach as the most luxurious hotels in Bora. And although you’re not staying at any of them (why would you when you can experience the real Bora Bora?), you will definitely feel richer - in experience and memories! To sum up, I had so much fun!!!! Thank you Tapu for everything. I can’t wait to come back!

Located in Bora Bora, 3.7 km from Mount Otemanu, Raihei Auberge de jeunesse Chez l'habitant à Bora Bora provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen and a 24-hour front desk for guests.

All units at the hostel are equipped with a seating area. At Raihei Auberge de jeunesse Chez l'habitant à Bora Bora every room is equipped with a shared bathroom and bed linen.

There are a few rules in the house, but I appreciate them because they are necessary for maintaining a clean and harmonious environment.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Budget accommodation but very reasonably priced for Bora Bora. We rented e-scooters on site and the price was much cheaper than elsewhere. Shared bathroom and toilet but very clean. The room itself had no aircon but well ventilated with huge windows (partial view of the lagoon) and there is also a very powerful fan. Few minutes walk to the famous Matira Beach where you have views of the sunset. Excursions etc would probably pick you up at the nearby Intercontinental Le Moana which is just a 3 minutes walk away, very convenient.

Second time to Le Pearls - service continues to be exceptional, above and beyond! On our return, my husband discovered he had left his passport in the safe back in our room. The staff at Le Pearls were extremely accommodating and had my husband's passport in his hands before the airport check-in deadline. The hotel, accommodation, restaurants, food - all top-notch! We will be back again hopefully in the very near future!

While the location may not be optimum (Matira would have been better), this small hostel in a private home is without a doubt the most affordable option in the whole of Bora Bora. The host family was friendly and hospitable, the sleeping accommodation comfortable with several fans available to make the hunidity more tolerable, and the bathroom clean and functional. I thoroughly enjoyed my 5-night stay with Karren and her family, not to mention their cute little dog Vanilla.

Great location, walkable distance to Matira beach, shops and restaurants. Resort grounds are well kept by staff, beach is small but very nice - amazing snorkelling just off the beach! Rooms are cleaned well, cleaning and upkeep staff are attentive.

The Village Temanuata is in a great location at Matira, with access to its own clean and tidy beach and near the public beach. It was a quiet and relaxing place to be especially with a veranda out of the wind. It was close to the restaurants and food shops. We had a small kitchen which was useful. The staff were all very friendly Compared to other hotels, this was a much cheaper option so we weren’t expecting luxury

The family you stay with are very kind and welcoming. As a solo traveler it really made my trip and made me feel at home. There is somewhere you can go in the evening opposite and it’s a 20minute walk to all the amenities you could need. Hostel is clean and safe!
