The setting is spectacular, the culture fascinating and you get a workout on the steps. The food and wine is delightful too especially the traditional Greek cuisine. It's an open secret so be prepared for the legions of others who are onto it too, especially the cruisers. Get up early to beat the crowd.

Fira is a beautiful city on the perfect location.
Fira is a beautiful city on the perfect location. Just right in the middle of the island with easy access to the north and south of the city. Plus the main bus station is in Fira, all the buses depart from this city to other parts of the island. The views of the caldera from Fira are amazing and the city centre is beautiful and full of restaurants and shops. I definitly recommend to stay in Fira. The prices of things are affordable in comparison if you stay in Oia.

Fits is my preferred choice compared to OIa to stay as the latter is super crowded with tourist. You can take the local bus to visit all the sites including Oia, Akrotini, Megalochori ( cave house ) and other places of interest. Just euros 2 each way. For food , I strongly recommend the lobster pasta in Nina Restaurant ( hope I got the name right). It is just on your right when taking the steps up to the centre.

Santorini lives up to the hype.
Santorini lives up to the hype. No other place like it in the world. Fira is a fun town—great people watching. Watching the sunset is an event. Yes it gets crowded, but still navigable (granted we visited in May and not July). You can find good restaurants at somewhat reasonable prices. Large supermarket on south side of town. Must do the Fira to Oia hike—we actually took the bus to Oia and hiked back.

Busy with a lot of traffic and poor sidewalks.
Busy with a lot of traffic and poor sidewalks. Good food choices. Limited grocery choices. Our choice of the Thea "Luxury" Resort was a poor one. No amenities and hostile owner when questioned about the published amenities. Great place for a sailing adventure. probable hellish in summer. The Chinese Rest. was good.

We stayed in Fira as a central point to visit the rest of Santorini. The bus hub was in Fira and was a cost effective way to get around. (it is 2 euros each time you board, no transfers). Their KTel city buses are actually coach buses and travel to all points on the island. Fira is a safe, clean and busy place to visit. We really enjoyed Kamari beach which is a 20 minute bus ride away.
The rooms were very nicely furnished, we had a balcony with sea view. In addition, you can walk very quickly to the center of Fira, from where you can see the other side of the sea with the typical Santorini views. The beds are very comfortable, you also have a fridge in the room, which already had water in it when we arrived. The receptionist is extremely friendly and welcoming. You can also easily order an airport shuttle or ATV for rent at the reception. The hotel also has a pool with sunbeds. I hope we can come back again.
Our first experience in Greece, starting with a stay at the Limestone Hotel in Santorini, was nothing short of marvelous. The hotel's staff, brimming with hospitality and kindness, made us feel at home immediately. A special shout-out to the manager, Thrasos, whose exceptional service and local insights significantly enhanced our stay. The blend of traditional Greek charm and impeccable service at Limestone has set a new standard for our travels. We left with hearts full of fond memories, eagerly anticipating our next visit.
This small boutique hotel with just four rooms was fantastic! It was very clean and right in the heart of it all in Fira. The price was very reasonable for Santorini. The owner is very friendly and gave us great recommendations. The room is classic Santorini, decorated in blues and whites. The shower was great, and the bed comfortable. it was just a three minute walk to the bus station and a couple of blocks from the caldera edge with fantastic views. It’s also a great starting point for the famous Fira to Oia caldera hike.
We loved our stay at the Lilium Hotel Santorini! The staff were amazing and always quick to help (they booked our airport transfers which were very reasonably priced). Our room was large and recently decorated. Our private hot tub and terrace had a beautiful caldera bay view - perfect for sunset. Breakfast was varied and yummy!
We loved the location - so much privacy compared to the tiny streets and people in Fira/ Oia. The free mini-van service always ran on time.
The pool and bar area has one of the best sunset views!
The room in itself is one of the most organically aesthetic places I've stayed in. It doesn't try too hard, is minimalistic and classy and conveys the ethos of Greek traditional and local architecture easily. I loved many design elements.
The service was superlative and I felt more comfortable in Fira and Santorini due to the owners. Amenities were good quality and linen was superb. Will recommend this place highly. I had a good night's sleep and spent a comfortable time here.
The hotel is perfect for a stay in Santorini. All
of the staff are extremely friendly and Will go above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful holiday. The breakfast was superb with lots to chose from and with as much as you would like, which is ordered the evening before, so was made fresh everyday.
Aliter suites is very relaxing once you come away from the busy areas of Fira and Oia, due to how busy they are. Will be back to Aliter Suites for sure.
Thank You.
Amazing stay! My husband and I stayed for 5 nights and this was everything we expected and more! Highly suggest this location as it is in the center of Santorini and close to Fira, the airport and the ferry port. The views and accommodations were beautiful. Breakfast and staff were exceptional. There was even a bus that would take us for free to the town of Fira every other hour! We felt very safe, comfortable and content. Would definitely stay here again!
After arriving late to Santorini, Giannis and the rest of the Hotel staff made us feel welcome and we lost any travelers anxiety we might have had.
Staff were friendly, helpful and informative! It is a good spot from which to explore Fira.
Special thanks to the technician for fixing my bag so I could continue the journey with ease.
The breakfast was well organised and tasty.
Fira is a bustling place to stay but a must for a day or two while in Santorini.
Wonderful stay at this beautiful new hotel. The room was large comfortable and typical Santorini cave. The location was good- right on the slope of the caldera. This is a great place for a perfect visit to Santorini. I don’t think our family will want to stay anywhere else. In addition to the great hotel, the staff is amazing. So helpful and courteous. Really nice people happy to help. Our thanks to Constantine and George for making our stay so perfect!
Nothing, as I was angry about the mouldy room. I regret I haven't booked somewhere else. Recently this facility was advertised also as Fira East Heart Rooms at booking.com, before it was advertised as Fira Economy Rooms, now it disappeared. The host keeps changing the profile and name of the place at booking.com - probably due to reviews they receive from their guests. It is situated just opposite the road from the Milos Villas Hotel in Santorini.
San Giorgio is in a perfect location to explore Fira + Santorini. It's a short walk to many restaurants and view points and very close to the bus stop from which you can go visit the rest of the island. The room is perfect and cozy - had everything we needed. The hotel staff had great suggestions for places to eat and visit and we enjoyed their recommendations. They picked us up from the airport for free, which we really appreciated.
We booked a very last minute hotel in Santorini and had no idea what to expect but were so surprised with the location and impressed with the staff at Tzekos. Erasamus checked us in and gave us incredibly helpful information on how to do the hike from Fira to Oia that we wanted to do, and arranged for a tax to pick us up promptly when we needed.
The room was spacious and very clean. The views outside the room was gorgeous and breath-taking. Stepping outside of my room gave me a perfect view of the nightly sunset. Being located in Fira, it was in the heart of central Santorini and allowed for easy travel to other tourist sites. About 20 -30 minutes to all other tourist sites.
Super helpful hosts - gave us tips, recommendations, helped us book transport and, best of all, made us a local cocktail to welcome us to Santorini! It is very close to Firastefani (5 min walk) and only a little bit longer to get to main area of Fira (10 min walk).
Can’t recommend this beautiful hotel enough!
Hotel is in great location close to the center of Fíra and key sights. There is also a big pool what is rare for Santorini with the bar so conviniet to get drinks and ice-cream. The view on volcano is also very nice. Staff is helpful, provide recommendation and tries to find the solution
Hotel Location is close to Fira Main Bus Station. The bus from the ferry port brings everyone to this station. Where they can remain in Fira or take a bus to other towns/cities on Santorini. The bus schedules are posted on the small building at this station.
Excellent location close to bus station. Housekeeping kept our room clean and tidy everyday. Good selection of breakfast items. Well run family owned hotel. Alex very helpful and provided plenty of information about Fira and Santorini.
a wonderfully designed apartment hotel in the heart of Firà - yet in a very quiet zone. the hosts are so helpful and provide you with all the information to create an unforgettable Santorini experience. warmly recommend!!!
Beautiful hotel, in an amazing location right in the heart of Fira. The staff are lovely, so friendly and very helpful. Pool is amazing with a view across Santorini. Room is furnished beautifully too.
The hotel is right on the heart of Fira and caldera is one step from there.
The stuff was very kind and helpfull for everything we need. This property may have the most spacious rooms in Santorini!
